This design is inspired by the classic bayonet shape with a symmetrical handle and simple fittings but unlike a bayonet I wanted a bigger broader blade with expanded hidden tang dimensions for added strength. Another key feature of this model is the threaded pommel which allows for a maximum compression on the stacked leather during the epoxy application resulting in a very dense solid handle and a secure pommel attachment.
